Where ya been Heather?
It's been 3 years since I have contributed anything to this blog - 3 years. That's a lifetime in social media isn't it? Wow, I've become irrelevant even to myself!!
When I started this blog it was to mostly post about running but life gets in the way and typing out 150 characters is sometimes a bit easier than composing content...but lately I have wanted to write a bit more so we'll see what happens. I get bored easily so we shall see.
Let's catch up a bit shall we?
March 2016 - left my job at SOLIDWORKS to join the awesome team at DriveWorks. LOVE working with this team and it's the best thing I have ever done for myself professionally (and personally if I don't say so myself!) Working for DriveWorks allows me to work with a great company that believes in and supports innovation and imginations. My role allows me to network with the SOLIDWORKS Community and be a part of something so much bigger...I love it.
June 2016 - my daughter Abbey graduates from High School, who would have thought it would go by so quickly? On to Community College for a couple of years...more on that later.
June 2017 - graduated with a BS in Marketing from Southern New Hampshire University. This was 20+ years in the making and I did it - I DID IT!!!!
July 2017 - made the life changing decision to have VSG surgery (weight loss surgery). LOVE that I did this and regret ONLY not doing it sooner.
July 2018 celebrate 12th year wedding anniversary with Earl - that's crazy, 12 years...guess I'll keep him around a bit huh? 💓
...coming soon
August 12, 2018 - headed to England to spend a week with my team, SO excited to see them all!
September 2, 2018 - Abbey moving into Bridgewater State University to complete her BS in Marketing. She's moving out, leaving....since the day I found out I was pregnant she's been with me always....guess this is kind of a big deal. Yeah.
So what do we talk about now....my travels, running half marathons or marathons (?), parenthood at this point? Let's just see....for now I've updated you all and we're good yes?
Maybe this blog dies with my former self or perhaps it's reborn out of necessity to get things out of my head and onto "virtual paper"...we'll see.
Until then I am definitely "Afoot and light hearted" as Mr. Whitman would say...my 2nd favorite WW
